SYEP – Need work? Poor? Have nothing to do over the summer? Then apply for SYEP. SYEP stands for the summer youth employment program. It provides jobs for students ages 14 to 23. For more information and how to apply go to https://application.nycsyep.com/
ASAP – Many students need help with their homework and ASAP is a great place to go to. There are also tutors that can help you on an area that you need help on. ASAP sometimes also have trips that can help students to relax.
SASF – Many people have no place to go to after school, then they can apply for SASF. SASF provides homework help if you need have with homework. In addition academic helps, there are also different types of sports you can play.
College Now – College Now is a great place to experience what college is like. You would be able to take college classes that are taught by college professors. For some classes, you may even get college credits if you pass the class.
This means you need to write an essay and submit it.
Anthem Essay contest – This contest is available for high school students grades 8th – 10th students. To apply, the student has to submit their essay to the site’s provided email. The Fountainhead Essay Contest – This contest is available for high school students grades 11th – 12th. To apply, the student has to submit their essay to the site’s provided email. Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest – This contest is available for high school students grades and undergrad and grad students (but no one here is in college). Flight Network Scholarship – To enter this scholarship students must write a 500 to 1000 word essay about a travel experience or something related and submit it to the email provided by the site. The Albert Shanker College Scholarship Fund – each year, the United Federation of Teachers proudly awards nearly $1 million in undergraduate and graduate scholarships to academically excellent and financially eligible students from New York City public schools. Minecraft College Scholarship – For those of you who play a lot of Minecraft, this is a great scholarship for you. You need to write an essay to talk about how the game has positively influenced you. LendingTree Scholarship – Students need to write a 200 word essay answering to the question “why, for you personally, is a college education worth the time, energy, and money?” This scholarship is for high school seniors. They have to be a United States citizen and have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or around 90%. If you enter, you have a chance to win a $2500 scholarship. Senior Rubincam Youth Award – You have never heard of genealogy? Where have you been? Do some research on it! You have to make a genealogical graph for up to five generations.
